How to Deploy a DigitalOcean Server Droplet

Sign in to DigitalOcean after creating an account.

Select the Create button in the top-right corner of the screen.

Select Droplets.

For Choose an image, select one of the following Linux distributions.

For Choose an image, select Debian 9, Debian 10, Ubuntu 18.04 or Ubuntu 20.04.

For Choose a datacenter region, select a location for the proxy server.

For Authentication, type a strong root SSH password.

Finish creating the Droplet by selecting the Create Droplet button.

When the Droplet is created, copy the public IPv4 address to use during the installation processes.

SSH in to the server with the system terminal application.

ssh root@10.20.30.40

Press Enter.

The command line will ask the following question.

Are you sure you want to continue connecting?

Type yes and press Enter.

Type the Droplet SSH Authentication password and press Enter to connect to the server.
